heard a rumor Eaton's hybrid systems are going full production next year... anyone heard anything about this?

Yes, I believe Eaton is cranking out production hybrids now, and we'll start to see more of them in 2008. Only for now they seem to be sticking with pretty specific applications, like city delivery and utility trucks. I think it may be a while before we see hybrids in a Class-8 configuration, if that's what you're looking for.
